Desert Sunset Earrings

I don't know exactly what these earrings make me ponder... perhaps the things I have never seen in real and hardly ever see, for example, a desert sunset or, or maybe something more available for imagination - the coming time of autumn burst of colours or a spark of flame... I guess there are much more ideas and it doesn't the matter actually, the outcome of my beading is the main value here. 

I liked these earrings from the first sight but wanted to make them so long that finally got weary of them:-) However, I had all the necessary materials gathered so I thought it was just a moment mood so instead of following it and refusing the beading, I followed this tutorial from +margherita fusco. 

Сережки "Захід сонця у пустелі"

Точно не знаю, в які думки занурюють мене ці сережки... можливо в думки про речі, які я ніколи в житті не бачила і навряд чи колись побачу, наприклад, про захід сонця в пустелі, або, можливо, про речі більш знайомі уяві - осінню нестримність кольорів  або спалах полум'я... Думаю, варіантів ще набагато більше і насправді це не так вже і суттєво, бо важливий тут - лише результат мого нанизування.

Мені ці сережки сподобалися з першого погляду, але я так довго збиралася їх зробити, що вони мені вже набридли:-) Проте, у мене були зібрані всі необхідні матеріали, тож я подумала, що то був просто тимчасовий настрій і замість того, щоб піддатися йому і відмовитися від нанизування, я відтворила цей майстер клас від +margherita fusco. 

What I did different. I beaded only two rows of bugle beads after adding bicones. And, as it is seen in the photo, between the second bugle and the 15/0 seed beads archs, there was a hole so I added two more 15/0 in that space.

Що я змінила. Нанизала лише два ряди стеклярусу після біконусів. І, як це видно з фото, між другою бісериною стеклярусу і аркою з бісеру 15,0 виникла дірка, тож я додала по дві бісерини 15,0, щоб заповнити той простір.

To connect two rivoli elements I added a loop of 1 bugle, three 15/0, one bugle bead. The smaller rivoli was bezeled only with bugles and 15/0 without any extra embellishment.

Щоб поєднати два компоненти з ріволі, на більшому зробила петлю з одного стеклярусу, 3 бісерин №15,0 ще одного стеклярусу. Менший ріволі був оплетений лише стеклярусом і бісеринами №15 без іншого декору.

When watching the tutorial and starting the beading I was afraid the earrings would be too bulky. But I've got them well balanced and quite refined.

Коли я дивилася майстер клас і починала нанизування, я боялася, що сережки будуть надто громіздкими, але вони вийшли гарно збалансованими і доволі витонченими.

Between Earth & Sky Earrings

To tell the true, I am very sleepy right now and absolutely sure that instead of writing this post it is much better to go to bed. But as the project is ready and I don't have to get up early tomorrow I decided to share the impressions from my last work at once:-)
There are a lot of pictures easy to imagine at any moment and one of them for me is the silhouettes of the dark cliffs on the background of the blue sky or sea. Despite I live at the river and can have enough rest at the water I got used to spend some time at the seaside every year. This summer passed without this usual ritual:-) I don't regret about that at all but as soon as  I saw the super duos of such great colours, it made me imagine that picture of the sky, sea and cliffs... 

Сережки "Між небом і землею"

По правді, я зараз дуже сонна і абсолютно впевнена, що замість писати цей допис краще піти спати. Але оскільки проект закінчено і мені завтра не треба рано вставати, я вирішила одразу поділитися враженнями від моєї останньої роботи:-)
Є багато картин, які легко уявити у будь який момент і одна з них для мене - це силуети темних скель на фоні синього моря або неба. Хоча я живу біля річки і можу досхочу відпочивати біля води, я звикла щороку проводити трохи часу на морі. Це літо минуло без цього звичайного ритуалу:-) Я про це анітрохи не шкодую, але щойно побачила супер дуо таких чудових кольорів, перед очима одразу повстав той пейзаж зі скелями, небом і морем...

So the idea of the colour style is clear and to make the earrings I followed this tutorial by +Mire MirArte. If to miss the stories with matching and changing te colours of the seed beads during the work, the earrings are not very hard to make:-)



Отже з ідею кольорової гами все зрозуміло, а ось щоб зробити сережки, я скористалася цим майстер класом від +Mire MirArte. Якщо оминути історії про підбір і зміну кольорів бісеру під час роботи, сережки зробити не так і важко:-)

The only change I made when adding the group of five super duos. Instead of rondelles I added 8/0 seed beads between them.




Єдину зміну я зробила, коли додавала групу з п'яти супер дуо. Замість ронделів я додала між ними бісерини 8.0.

Yellow Linen Waistcoat

The yellow trousers could stay lone too long in no way:-)
I have never been a fan of the early 70ths fashion... as well as some other periods:-) I don't why... Maybe just because I perceive fashion pretty superficially and only from the point of view how much the patterns and design suit me. But I don't think I have to explain why because it is not the question to think about at all. I only remember that a couple of fashion magazines, that my mum had from that time, were not my favourites and when they were lost for some reason, I never missed them:-)
But suddenly in  Burda Special Vintage 2016 issue, that devoted the 70ths' designs entirely, I yet liked few more things except the trousers and among them - a long double-breasted waistcoat. As soon as I saw it, I was sure I would make it and it would be yellow and together with the trousers, they would create a suit. And here it is, the fact that from the intention to the sewing a year passed is not important at all because sometimes it happens such plans realization takes much more time:-)

Жовтий лляний жилет

Жовті штани аж ніяк не могли довго залишатися самотніми:-)

Я ніколи не захоплювалася модою ранніх 70-х... так само як і деяких інших періодів:-) Не знаю чому... Можливо через те, що сприймаю моду доволі поверхово і лише з тієї точки зору, наскільки мені личитимуть відповідні моделі і конструкції. Але я і не думаю, що маю пояснювати чому, бо це взагалі не питання варте роздумів. Я лише пам'ятаю, що коли з якоїсь причини загубилися пару маминих журналів мод з того часу, я ніколи за ними не сумувала, тому що вони не були моїми улюбленими:-)

Але раптом в тому ж таки числі Burda Special Vintage 2016, яке цілком присвячено моделям 70-х, мені сподобалося ще декілька речей крім тих штанів і серед них - довгий двубортний жилет. Щойно я його побачила, була впевнена, що пошию його і що він буде жовтий і що разом із тими штанями вони утворять костюм. І ось він тут, а той факт, що між наміром і виконанням минув рік, не має значення, бо буває, що між такими планами минає і набагато більше часу:-)

It was quick sewing. I refused from the lining, of course, as the waistcoat is made of linen, so had to cut and sew the facing for the armholes. I cut the facings from the remnants so it was better to make them with the seam. The facings can be cut either by the paper patterns or, as I did, by the parts of the waistcoat.



Пошиття було швидким. Оскільки жилет з льону, я відмовилася від підкладки і викроїла обшивки для обробки пройм. Кроїла з залишків тканини, тому було зручно це зробити зі швом. Кроїти можна або по паперовій викрійці або по вже готовим деталям жилету, як це зробила я.

I also changed the number and the position of the buttons. I understand that designers have a lot of ideas but when it goes about the buttons, the most practical idea is to sew them in the points of the biggest tension of the clothes. It means on the breast, waist and hips lines. At least for the figures that have all those lines:-) The buttons on the hips line are not necessary here.

Також я змінила кількість і розташування ґудзиків. Розумію, що у дизайнерів повно ідей, але коли йдеться про ґудзики, найкраща ідея - розташувати їх в місцях найбільшого натягу одягу. Це означає по лінії грудей, талії та стегон. Принаймні для фігур, які таки лінії мають:-) Ґудзики на лінії стегон тут не потрібні.
